You guys need to stop for just a second quit adding to the most impressive piece of BLOAT I have ever seen and add some documentation to try to make some sense out of all this if there is any concise information on setting up a database in either creator or db I would love to see it where are you hiding it because I've crawled through this mess of yours and I can't find it Quit wasting people's time and make your product as easy to use as you keep screaming about because it definitely isn't. I have been using FMP for years and you guys don't hold a candle to it I don't want to be a programmer I just want to get some work done. Friendly advice

Sam, I would love for this to be a rapid-application developing environment... but I too have invested...(or is it wasted) a lot of time trying to get my head around this suite of ??? whatever it is.


I wanted to create a couple of relatively simple related databases (which I would do in 10 minutes off line) but the db I use is not geared for online sharing. So I had my fingers crossed here.


BUT a few hours on a couple of evenings later and it doesn't do some pretty essential stuff:-

- Sub-forms (honestly, thats CRITICAL on any data handling app)

- and why the split between craetor and db reporting.. That's illogical.

I apologize for the lack of in-depth help documentation for Zoho DB & Reports and for the inconvenience caused. We are working on the help documentation and very soon (in couple of weeks) you should see the first version coming out.


Wrt. the split between Zoho DB & Reports and Zoho Creator, the following is the positioning of these service:


Zoho Creator - This service is intend to provide a easy way to create online database applications for data collection and basic reporting.


Zoho DB & Reports (soon to be renamed as Zoho Reports): This service focusses on providing Online Reporting and Business Intelligence for any user data. Its a reporting service and not a online database service, although for small end applications Zoho Reports could be used both as a database and reporting service.


We are also working on a integration between Zoho Creator and Zoho DB & Reports, whereby for users of Zoho Creator the reporting features of Zoho DB & Reports will be made available within the environment of Zoho Creator. This will enable Zoho Creator users to make use of the powerful reporting features in Zoho DB & Reports. Zoho Reports will continue to be offered as a seperate service specializing on Reporting and Business Intelligence.

Just a thought give a key field that can be used in Creator and DB then just a little migration script field to field do the sync manually using a graphic button or schedule it have set something like this up in excel to FMP locally SQL scripts laying around you could study for implementation. I think you guys are on to a good thing but as soon as google docs gets a real database you're gonna be in trouble. I've ended up going with vTiger but would love to give you guys another look as it is kinda janky but it does the jobThanks for the response

When will Google Adwords group / keyword analysis be added?


Documentation states:

"Currently the template provided is done only for analyzing Google Adword Campaign analysis and not for Adword group and keyword analysis. We would be adding a template for this very soon."

As stated in my previous reply, we are onto providing the next level of integration between Zoho Creator and Zoho Reports. This will address the problem of better reporting in Zoho Creator and make it much more powerful. We will keep the community posted about it. Please bear with us till then.

Hi, Amazing, this is the most impressive reporting tool I have seen so far, what I wonder if there is some posibility to use it for corporate users, we have restrictions on our data and would like to have the data in our own server.

Currently we do not have any specific plan for providing Zoho DB & Reports as a packaged software installable from within your Enterprise. Still it cannot be ruled out completely for the future.
